I still haven’t found an apartment which for once is not the result of my being exceptionally picky (though that I am), but a lack of trying.
Oops.
In other news, my string of San Francisco weekends finally came to an end. Starting in late January, I had literally spent at least one day of every weekend (counting Friday) in the city. This weekend, I was in somewhat sunny San Diego. While I had a great time, that trip just exhausted me. This exhaustion in turn is making it that much harder for me to get motivated to go apartment hunting.
Consolation prize? A bottle of St. Germain. Logic would dictate that this could only complicate the process, but a little bit of liquid inspiration was never so bad a thing…

Back in January, the fabulous, PRIZE-WINNING folks at Caliber organized a PHOTOWALK through North Beach and Chinatown. I had a lot of fun, even if I was mildly antisocial due to photography frustrations. (Okay, really antisocial – didn’t really meet people until we made it to the last bar of the night, which is why I had such a terrible time trying to tag people in the shots on Flickr.) I’m currently UPLOADING LIKE CRAZY in the hopes that all of my January photowalk shots will be online before the April walk happens.
The pictures didn’t end up being as terrible as I’d thought they were at the time and there were quite a few that I liked. My fears were completely merited when it came to shooting the iconic red lanterns, however. I got better as the day went on, but the shots still weren’t ideal.
